Passengers arriving at Hong Kong International Airport on tourist visas will receive financial vouchers. Other locations designated for voucher distribution include the districts of West Kowloon and Tsim Sha Tsui.
Tourism statistics in Hong Kong show an 84% increase in visitor arrivals in 2023 (20.5 million people). However, this rise in numbers has not translated into improved revenue in the restaurant sector.
The “Night Vibes Hong Kong” program initiated by the authorities involves over 500 nightlife venues on the island and runs for three months. During this period, tourists with vouchers can use them to pay for services in restaurants and bars after 6 pm. The program also includes bus tours, discounts at cinemas, museum visits, and park excursions.
